We also have a guidance counselor on site that works with children if they are encountering
troubles in school, at home or with friends.
Ultimately,
the Saturday Club also provides a forum for positive social
interaction and establishing long-lasting friendships among the
kids.

Children enrolled in the Saturday Program also have the opportunity to participate in additional clubs such as:
With the help Juan E. Ramirez, a former student of Children's Safe Harbor, Inc., the children of the Saturday Club have the opportunity to receive individualized piano and guitar lessons. Every Saturday, Mr. Ramirez offers free 45-minute lessons to the children. This opportunity exposes children to new instruments and new types of music that they may not have had the change to be a part of otherwise.
DRAMA CLUB
The Drama Club began in 1989.
This
program provides children between
the ages of 4 through 12 with the opportunity to explore talents
in drama, play-writing, directing, and choreographed poetry
reading.
Each year, participants of the
Drama Club perform at various events including the Annual Spring
Festival, the Children’s Gala, and
Family Day
The Dance Club is divided into two sections - "Adoración de la Alma" for the girls and "Hombres Pequeños de Dios" for the boys. Each group practices and performs at Children's Safe Harbor events such as the annual spring festival, Children's Gala, Family Day, etc. The dance club focuses only on dance, allowing children to explore their musical talents.
Since 1988, Amparo de la Niñez has been hosting a weekly radio program on Radio Salvation WPHE 690 AM. The Children’s Radio Program offers kids a forum to discuss their ideas and opinions on a variety of topics and can share them with the general public. The radio program airs every Saturday from 11am-12pm. www.radiosalvacion.com
